Social Media

I've been asked to lead the Social Media for the launch of the Online Survey, the Art Installation, and the Community Dashboard.

My first focus was the renaming of the whole project as 'community dashboard' isn't an accessible term for someone outside of the organisation. I asked the whole group to brainstorm together and we came up with a number of options:

Umbrella Name for Project:
- Data patchwork - bringing our information to life.
- Community patchwork - Strengthening the fabric of our community through shared information.
- Inter-Activism! Using information to empower communities.

Tag lines:
- Data + Art = Knowledge  & Empowerment.
- Share your stories (so we can build a better tomorrow together.) (so that we can begin to make positive changes to our community together.) Understand yourself and our community better.
- Share your story: inspire change.

Following this I began thinking about how to attract people and followers. Here is my social media to do list:

I think the best way to pique people's interest in this digital age is with a feel good sneak peak video which has the potential to go viral. What we are doing is something really different and out of the ordinary which satisfies two news values: Unusual curiosities and novelties! I really think we have the potential to attract regional news and local news outlets.
